1. QUALITY OF WORK
We will execute the work to the best engineering standards and the steps we practice to give good quality work, is as follows;
We initiate our material requirement only with manufacturer or with their authorized distributor for reliability of genuineness of material. We plan the requirement in advance to have sufficient time for erecting the same, without unnecessary creating site pressure for hurried work. Plan the man power requirement with skill related work for generating quality. All the fabrication works will be commenced only after obtaining detailed drawings approved, so that the supplied equipment meets the customer requirement in total. All the electrical panels are methodically inspected for progressive fabrication method at manufacturers premises to ensure reliability and quality. All assembled equipments are tested at manufacturers premises to ensure proper function as specified during drawing approval. Site work will be carried out using best quality tools and tackles for smooth, continuous and good workmanship.
2. EXECUTION OF WORK :
The method we are adopting while execution the projects are as follows;
Pre launch site meeting with Consultants & Promoters for freezing the project requirements with intimate discussions including requirement of growth potential / expansions. This could give us the total concept of the project as envisaged by all concerned and will slate the requirement of different divisions and comprehensive understanding for detail planning.
Prepare a Pert Chart commencing from in-house approvals of details to final handing over of installation. This Pert Charts are periodically updated with proper notes considering changes if any and progress of Civil works as the dates given in the Pert Chart will be on the basis of progress of Civil work.
For a project of this nature in addition to full time Engineer at site, a Senior Engineer will also supervise the progress of work and attend periodic progress meetings.
Other than the above two Engineers, the Director will also interact for proper execution of our scope of work.
The Manufacturers recommendation for erection of equipments are followed while erecting the equipment.
Site tests are conducted for; i. LT & HT Panels. ii. Transformers. iii. Cables. iv. For all Earth Points.
Tripping Relays & Indicating Instruments are also ratified. Insulation resistance at point wiring. Neutral continuity.
3. ENGINEERING :
Preparation of working drawings. Preparation of drawings for support & fixtures required at site. Preparation of list of deviations. Providing solution for problems emerging at site due to Customers change in requirement. Providing solutions to day to day technical problems. Check on adherence of specifications of equipment at all stages. Site inspection of all items. Preparation of list of breakages and replacements. Check on position of equipment, directional details and suitability of work. Check on other Agency coordination problems. Conducting after erection inspection. Conducting pre-commissioning test. Preparation of site test Report. Preparation of As Built Details & Drawings. Preparation of highlight of installation. Preparation of hand over documents.
4. QUALITY CHECK DURING PROCUREMENT AT SITE :
Make of items, its catalogue number and the type number is normally give by the project promoter / Architect / Consultant. This assures the quality originally envisaged.
For items where catalogue number and types are not fully specified only ISI certified brands are recommended. The makes will be short listed and one or two make amongst the short listed are submitted for approval as samples.
As only ISI certified brands are sourced, manufacturers test certificates for having conducted routine tests are required, type test certificates for having conducted required tests at a recognised test house will also be insisted.
It will be assured that the quality of the product does not deteriorate during or after erection by conducting exhaustive after erection test on all the major items like panels, distribution equipment, power and control cables, etc.
SAFTY METHODS
Our Employees are normally given a working gown and a Helmet while working in a project under construction. The workmen working at scaffoldings, elevated areas on truss are given safety Belts. The workmen are provided with Hand Gloves, Goggles and shoes. Testing of live equipments for functions are conducted with insulated Gloves. We keep a First Aid Box at site. We provide packaged drinking water for our workmen working at site. The work will be executed utilizing tools & tackles without taking unnecessary risk. We avoid employing unskilled labourers. The temporary power requirement will be planned having utmost safety in mind, avoiding direct insertion of wires in sockets etc. Drilling and Grinding at dangerous height will be totally avoided. Scaffoldings and Tower ladders erected are tested before use and certified. All the workmen are educated with the salient features of the project and informed there out of limit areas. Trenches are not left opened and Tape cordoned while working. We deploy at least one employee who is trained in First Aid methods. Our employees are educated not to litter the site and all waste materials, scraps and packing materials are periodically disposed to keep site clean. We arrange one specific safety workshop at site. Our employees are covered with health insurance and ESI We avoid night working and extended shift beyond 12 hours a day to minimize fatigue to employees. The set procedures of Health, Safety and Environment of the promoters will be followed.
